Unboxing Post: Memebox Special #55 OMG 4

All countries have those strange beauty products that make you go huh and hmmm, and Korea is no exception. This 4th OMG Box is bursting with a range of bizarre and brilliant to "WTF?!" but we promise that these beauty befuddlements will provide a wide range of beauty benefits.
We admit these innovations may looks slightly intimidating at first,  but we know that you secretly want these crazies a try!
I don't want anything too absurd when it comes to my beauty products. However, after careful thought, I figured that several of my skincare favorites, such as snail slime and bee venom, were all OMG products 5 years ago. I remember being too hesitant to try them out. Now, I use them on a daily basis, and my skin's condition has become better than ever.

So, I took the chance and bought this OMG box - hoping to find a couple or more of HG products that are out of the ordinary. I bundled this with the Memebox Special #57 For Dry and Sensitive Skin to take advantage of the Free Express Shipping.

Want a sneak peek?

Why, here it is:

I have arranged the products according to my preferences:

ABALONE Crystal Double EX Cream 50ml - $78

This Abalone Crystal Double EX Cream is concentrated with fermented abalone, black bean extract, and watermelon extract to deliver a cosmic blast of skin care benefits. Fresh 'abalones' from the Southern Coast of Korea are highly recognized as the King of Shellfish, with their mucin containing abundant minerals, proteins, amino acids, and essential fatty acids to provide remarkable skin revitalizing, wrinkle reducing, skin brightening, and hydrating benefits. It also soothes irritated skin, and enhances the skin's elasticity to deliver visible anti-aging results with each use!
I haven't used anything with Abalone before, so this is a first. I must admit, it doesn't have the OMG factor to it, but I'm willing to try it out. Also, I definitely can't miss this product, simply because it comes with a high pricetag and exquisite packaging.

Dr. MJ Moisture Bounce Aqua Memory BB SPF30 PA++ 45g - $46

Yes, we've all been through a BB cream, but what about a bouncy, jelly-like BB packaged in a bottle and scooped using a spatula like any ohter facial cream?  Dr. MJ Moisture Bounce Aqua Memory BB adheres tightly onto skin with its cushiony texture and offers wrinkle care, UV protection, and skin brightening effects as well.
This 'bouncy' BB Cream sounds so gimmicky, but I kind of like the idea of that. It sounds like a fun product to use. I wonder if the 'bouncy' property of this product actually does something for your skin? I sure hope so, because a $46 pricetag is not so cheap at all - especially if being 'bouncy' is the only thing that makes it different from the rest of its kind.

Pureplus+ Cocoon Returning Toner 200ml - $18

Replenish, control excess sebum, remove dead skin cells and impurities, and brighten up dulled complexion with this toner packed with cocoon extracts, witch hazel, and various vitamins to make your face look and feel younger.
I am extremely curious on how this toner would work on my skin.

Also, I wonder how the makers of this toner extracted the 'extract' from cocoons, or were there actually insect/larvae extracts with it?

Shara Shara Secret Magic Lipstick 3.5g -$8

A secret, color-transforming lipstick, which offers a highly pigmented radiance, a long-lasting adherence, and a moisture lock-in all in just a single swipe. Experience how it magically changes its shade according to the temperature of or lips! Its gentle formula is enriched with avocado oil and tocopheryl acetate which effectively protects lips from dehydration.
I'm no newbie on 'magic lipsticks' or anything of the like. In fact, even Avon has its own version of color-changing lippies as well. So, this is not really an OMG product. But, thanks anyway.

Purebess Hot Styling Hair Fixer 8g - $16

No it's not a hair spray or a wax gel cream. It's a hair fixer that you can apply multiple times consecutively because the formula is non-sticky and lightweight and it's shaped into an easy to use mascara-like package! Simply swipe away to fix up and style any loose hair for that perfect, stewardess look.
I can't believe anybody would actually succumb to using this. Sounds like a vanity overkill. And it sure does reminds me of Johnny Bravo combing his hair real fast. On second thought, this might be useful, especially if you don't have a comb at hand.

Another novelty item, but I'm thankful anyway.

Nadu Skin The First Love Pack

Here's to a truly OMG product in the history of Memebox - specially designed mask packs for a female and a male's Y-zone (definitely not for facial use!!!) - to be used to moisture and treat the most sensitive yet uncared for part of the body. They're formulated with lavender flower water and various moisturizing nutrients and each designed to perfectly fit female and male body.
This...

This is probably the only thing in the box that I hate - I hate so much.

Aside from the fact that they are one-time use mask sheets, they can only be used on the private parts - one for male and another for female. I can't imagine myself using this, or I couldn't even see myself gifting this to others.

I know this might be hilarious to some, but I was downright disappointed to the most OMG/WTF product in this box. For the nth time, Memebox, please, don't give out products that are for the private parts. Put those stuff in another box (eg Private Box, Secret Box, whatsoever), but please don't mix them out with other themed boxes.

Overall

It's an okay box, but I wasn't really surprised. There was very little OMG factor to it, but I'm glad  I'll get to use the abalone cream and the cocoon toner.

Well, that's all for this unboxing.

Enjoy your weekend everyone!

 Love lots,

Newbee
