Unboxing Post: Memebox Special #39: Cafe Box

Imagine a cafe.

What do you see?

I bet you're imagining coffee and tea, some pastries, and other enticing and mouthwatering goodies.

That's basically the image I had in mind when I first saw the Memebox Cafe Box ad, and the very same reason why I caved in to purchasing such box. Anything sold in a cafe is irresistible. Put all that into cosmetics and that sounds just like the most awesome thing in the world right now.

After weeks of waiting, the Memebox Special #39: Cafe Box was finally delivered to my doorstep. Four Memeboxes arrived today, actually. But that's for another blog post. Sorry...

For the meantime:

Behold, the 'cafe in cosmetics':

Upon seeing all these goodies for the first time, a thousand thoughts crossed my mind.

I remember asking the following questions:
Wait... Didn't I order Cafe Box and not My Cute Wishlist Box
Is this some kind of mistake?
Then, a few seconds after, it dawned unto me, that it really is the Cafe Box and not the My Cute Wishlist Box.

I was like:
*Gasp* Isn't this the best Memebox I unboxed so far? OMG! Memebox totally nailed it!

Wanna know why?

See for yourself.

I have arranged the products according to my preferences:

Holika Holika Dessert Time Lip Balm 7g ($6)

We've selected 3 most popular cupcakes from Holika Holika's adorably packaged Dessert Time Lip Balm series. The strawberry scented 01 Red Cupcake has a translucent red colored texture and offers a glossy radiance to your lips. The tinted 03 Peach Cupcake is scented with a delicate peach fragrance and features peach colored, unjaded lips with a lasting color formation. Last, but not the least, the newly launched 05 Plum Pink boosts a refreshingly fruity cherry scent and a pop plum-pink colored tint.
First off, isn't this tiny little thing adorable? I've seen this particular product posted in websites before but I have never thought that this would be extremely cute in person. I swear, I think I've gone crazy over this single lip balm. I kind of want to take this to my girl friends right now and brag about it nonstop.

Obviously, this takes the top spot because it fits the theme very well, and it's basically something we girls could use regularly. I am looking forward to emptying my current lip gloss, and replace it with THIS. Ohhh! How exciting!

Memebox, you're such a darling for including this.

Vella Fresh Creamy Soap 100ml ($13)

This whip cream-textured cleanser is enriched with deeply hydrating and soothing formula: donkey milk, 3 kinds of honey complex, and 4 kinds of floral extracts. Its highly concentrated and minutely fine creamy bubbles thoroughly cleanse away all skin impurities and excess sebum while making sure to soothe, protect, and moisturize the skin so that its pH balance isn't broken during cleansing.
The second spot goes to a cleanser, which is primarily made of donkey milk. I really don't know what so special about donkey milk and all that jazz, but it seems that the packaging alone is just about perfect for the Cafe theme.

Look! You might mistake it for ice cream or yogurt!

I won't be able to use this right away though, because I've got quite a number of cleansers waiting to be emptied. This goes to the queue as well, BUT I'm happy anyway. You don't get to see quite a lot of this outside Korea. So, this definitely is a THUMBS UP.

Cleomee Anti-Wrinkle Donkey Lotion 250ml ($83)

Cleomee's gentle and moisturizing formula consisting of donkey milk, hyaluronic acid, ceramide, glycerin, vitamin E, and EGF complex delivers rich nutrition and replenishment deep down into your skin. Donkey milk and its milky goodness far exceeds cow's milk and even goat's milk in its similarity to mother's breast milk, and is also highly prized to have been the secret to Cleopatra's unfailing beauty and skincare.
Here's another donkey product, and by the looks of it, it's probably the most expensive thing in the box. This is the first time I heard of an anti-wrinkle lotion. Well, this would really come in handy, after I empty my bottles of lotion on my vanity set.

Also, I wonder why donkey milk is being compared to a mother's milk in the description?

Tonymoly Latte Art Cappuccino Cream-In Scrub 95g ($13)

Enriched with milk protein, caffeine, coffee extracts, and acetyl hexapeptide-8, the Latte Art Cappuccino Cream-In Scrub is a massaging-type facial scrub that works to effectively remove all skin impurities clogging up the pores, deliver rich nutrition, and firm up the skin elasticity all in one. This product is especially recommended for rough, darkened skin conditions suffering from dryness and white flakes.
When I saw this I was like: Awww.. how cute!

But, I soon realized that I have something even more cuter than this, 'cause it just happens that I have the Tonymoly Latte Milk-Cacao Pore Pack in my Korean cosmetics collection. I swear, the pore pack is cuter by a notch, but I'm happy with this scrub. I will definitely use this as soon as I empty the facial scrub I'm currently using.

For the meantime, I now have two cute coffee-themed cosmetics duo from Tonymoly - the pore pack and the scrub, both waiting to be used.

Binu Cook Ice Cream Scoop Cacao Body Soap 70g ($3)

Shaped and smells like a scoop of delicious chocolate ice cream, this 100% natural, handmade soap bar will cleanse away all excess oil, sebum, and dead skin cells from your face and body, and leaves the skin feeling nice and supple.
It's funny how I thought it looked like *poop* at first. Haha

But take a good look at it and you'll definitely realize it's ice cream! It smells like chocolate ice cream too!

It has even gotten more interesting when I realized its not just your typical soap. Its texture is fun - almost edible-looking.

Seriously, if it wasn't for the description, I would have grabbed this and eaten it straight from the box. It's difficult to explain, but the soap looks and smells like 99% food and 1% soap. Soap's probably not even close to 1%.

Pure Smile Original Mask Sheet 23ml ($1)

The Herb Mask Sheet is infused with lavender extracts, hyaluronic acid, Vitamin E, and collagen, and works to relieve and moisturize the skin, while the Green Tea Mask Sheet contains abundant green tea extracts for maintaining the skin's moisture/oil balance and its firmness.
Finally, here's the least interesting product in a box - a one-time use sheet mask, in Green Tea. Well, I'm not sure how this will work out on my skin but thanks anyway, Memebox, for this bonus item.

Overall

To be honest, this must be the best Memebox I have so far. I mean, everything is cute and presentable, unlike other products, which are, you know, BORING. I have quite a lot of expectations on this box as well, and as you could see, this definitely exceeded my expectations.

Also, I did have a hard time picking out the order of the products I like from this box, except of course for the mask, which automatically goes to the last spot - being a single use item and all. I wanted all the products to be #1! This is definitely worth it!

I love you Memebox!
