Revitalize dull and tired-looking skin with ultra-moisturizing and super nutritious formulas to lock in hydration and essential vitamins and minerals! Give yourself the ultimate skin care therapy with beauty goodies that re-texturize, repair and renew skin for petal-soft, radiant skin the next morning! Don't fall asleep on your beauty potential, but jump start your beauty with this Sleeping Beauty Box! Transform your skin with the right overnight products - and without the wait.
Let's just say that I was on the fence before I finally decided to purchase this box. Aside from the fact that I already had four Memeboxes then and I was spending way too much on cosmetics, I really don't know what to expect from this box. I figured that there should be at least a sleeping pack.

What if Memebox suddenly decides not to create variety - and stick to sleeping packs? All sleeping packs in a box? That would be a disaster!

But then, Memebox hands out products that are far from expiration, so a boxful of sleeping packs could last me a year or two, which is not bad at all. I use sleeping packs regularly, and I have no problem on emptying one tube after another.

Also, 'princess editions' sound so 'princessy'. I picture Etude House (probably the cutest of all the Korean products I've seen), some luxurious Korean brands, and a couple of sleeping packs. Hand creams, moisturizing lotions, eye masks, and firming essences sound like great possibilities, too. Thinking that the odds of getting a bad box to a good box is somewhat low to none (I assumed that), I finally caved in. I eventually bought two Princess Editions: Sleeping Beauty and Rapunzel.

And just last week, I got the two boxes.

And here is the Memebox Princess Edition #2: Sleeping Beauty:

Just like the last few Memeboxes I unboxed, the Sleeping Beauty box contains 7 different goodies.

Let's take a good look at them! The order of appearance of products is based on my preferences.

Vella Neck Tight Cream 50ml ($30)

Did you know that the skin on your neck is 2/3 thinner than that of your face, thus, easy and quick on sagging while nearly impossible to erase off fine lines and wrinkles? Start anti-aging on your neck with Vella's Neck Tight Cream which promises brightening, anti-wrinkle, nourishing, hydrating, and firming effects all in one. Plus, it's free of mineral oil, talk, T.E.A., petrolatum, artificial coloring, etc.
Vella takes the top spot, simply because it sounds so interesting. This is actually the first time I heard of a neck tightening cream, and I'm surely going to use it real soon!

Dewytree Aqua Collagen Peptide Sleeping Mask 150ml ($28)

Dewytree's Aqua Collagen Peptide Sleeping Mask is made entirely from collagen peptide, hyaluronic acid, green tea extracts, adenosine, sciadopitys verticillata root extracts (rich in Vitamins C, K, B, and flavonoid), medicinal mushrooms, and niacinamide. Thus, this sleeping pack feels in moisture and nutrition from deep within the skin, creating a protective layer over top to lock it all in overnight. What's more, it also tighten up signs of aging and brighten up the complexion for a healthier, younger-looking face overall.
Like I said, there would be at least one sleeping mask, and here it is. I'm happy I got this one because I might run out of my Too Cool For School Pumpkin Sleeping Pack real soon.

D'Ran Aqua Wonder Recovery Eye Cream 25g ($35)

Aqua Wonder Recovery Eye Cream's formula rich in hyaluronic acid, collagen, glacier water, and 7 different seaweed extracts works to deeply hydrate, brighten, and lift up dry, darkened, and weakened skin around your eyes, for a clearer, well-nourished skin condition.
I incorporate eye creams to my skincare routine, which is why this product is very welcome in my 'use immediately' stash. I hope this would perform better than my Skin79 The Oriental Eye Cream.

Dermahouse Aloe Vera Aqua Gel 150ml ($29)

This Aloe Vera Aqua Gel consists 80% of natural aloe vera extracts, making it gentle and suitable enough to be used by all skin types, all ages, and all over the body. Aloe vera is highly recognized as one of the most effectively soothing, relieving and moisturizing natural ingredient for dry or irritated skin. It'll create a protective barrier over your skin to lock in moisture and nutrition overnight!
Honestly, I'm getting tired of receiving Dermahouse and Aloe products from Memebox.

It seems that Dermahouse always has a place in any skincare Memebox, and Aloe is just about everywhere. Maybe, Memebox should try to minimize handing out aloe products, 'cause they take most of the excitement away. Seriously.

Also, Dermahouse is not the kind of brand that delivers/exhibits a 'wow factor'.

I wonder why? Maybe, they should develop more interesting products other than aloe etc. Yeah, it's just meh.

E-choice Aloe Vera All Care Cream 10g ($3)

Made from organic aloe vera, bee's wax, phytosqualane, and vitamin E inducing agent, this Vaseline-type Aloe Vera All Care Cream will soothe and nourish dehydrated and damaged skin. This gentle formula infused with a peppermint aroma is easy to carry around, suitable to be used by all family members, and suitable for both facial and body care.
I heard about E-choice before; if I remember correctly, E-choice is a cheap Korean brand - cheaper than Etude House. I may be wrong though.

This product is on the second to the last spot, because I really don't find it interesting at all. And yeah, it's aloe, which I'm now starting to hate.

ReinPlatz Intensive Moisture Pack 23g ($4)

Deliver rich nutrition and moisture to dry, sagging hands with ReinPlatz's Intensive Moisture Hand Pack, for it will peel away dead skin cells, treat damaged nails, and improve your hands' skin elasticity. The same goes for Intensive Moisture Foot Pack enriched with shea butter and jojoba oil complex for deeply nourishing and relieving roughened skin and calloused heels.
Well, this product is on the last spot because it's for one-time use. Since I'm not really worried about my feet (they seem fine for now), I'm just going to give it away to somebody who will need it even more than me. It seems interesting though.

Overall

This is not the worst box I had. In fact, I love all of the boxes I received so far. This is not the best either because for one, I expected for a 'cutesy' or 'elegant' box, but there are no signs of 'princessy' stuff. I mean, what's the point classifying a Memebox as Princess Edition, if it's not 'princessy' enough? So much for cute, huh?

Truth be told, I was somewhat disappointed because the aloe products in the past few months were just too much for me to handle. I can't use them all up as I'm not really interested in them. And here comes Sleeping Beauty box, with two more aloe vera products. When in fact, there are other products /ingredients that could take aloe's place and the deliver moisture to the skin during nighttime.

Snail? Synake? Seaweed? and the list certainly goes on.

Nonetheless, Memebox still delivered its promises:

  • new products to try
  • great value for money
  • variety
Despite my disappointments on this box, I still think Memebox is worth every penny you invest in it.

Join me in another unboxing real soon! Let's see if the other Princess Edition Box (Rapunzel) is better than this box.

That's all for today...

Bye! :)
